Helping Someone Find the Right Place to Call Home

Finding housing for someone you care about isn't just about finding an available room.

You want to know the'll be safe, comfortable, connected and treated with dignity, while

maintaining as much independence as possible.

The Promised Land Community offers affordable independent living for adults 55+ and veterans in a smaller, connected community where meals, housekeeping, laundry, utilities and everyday services are already taken care of.

Phase One is open, and housing is available now.

A Little Help Can Make a Big Difference

Sometimes someone doesn't need assisted living. Maybe maintaining a house has simply become too much. Cooking every day is harder.

Grocery shopping is exhausting. They don't drive as much anymore. Or perhaps they're

spending too much time alone.

Promised Land takes many of those everyday responsibilities off their shoulders while allowing them to maintain their own home, privacy, choices and independence.

And if additional help is needed, we can work hand in hand with residents,

families and outside

third-party providers to help coordinate support in the resident's home. Depending on the resident's needs and the provider's services, that may include personal care, help with bathing or showering, physical or occupational therapy, home health and other recovery support.

These services are provided by independent third-party professionals, not by Promised Land staff.

For someone recovering after a hospitalization, injury or surgery, this can offer a comfortable independent-living setting while qualified outside providers continue the care or therapy they need. Coverage for third-party services depends on the resident's insurance, eligibility and provider.

More Than Finding Housing

We want families to feel good about where their loved one lives.

Residents have opportunities to share meals, make friends, participate in activities, enjoy the outdoors, attend Bible studies, fish, garden, participate in EcoLearn, mentor others, or simply enjoy their own space.

Nobody is required to participate in everything. The community is there when they want it.

For Social Workers & Referral Professionals

We welcome referrals from social workers, veteran organizations, churches, hospitals, community agencies and other professionals helping adults 55+ and veterans find affordable

independent housing.

We want the referral process to be straightforward. Tell us about the person you're helping, the type of housing they're looking for and their timeframe. We'll let you know what is currently available and whether Promised Land may be a good fit.

If the housing they're interested in isn't available yet, we can add them to our interest list for upcoming openings.

Come See Promised Land

Families and referral professionals are welcome to visit.

Walk through the homes. See the property. Visit the Community Center. Meet us. Ask questions.

Because sometimes the best way to know whether somewhere feels right is simply to come see it.
